This training course has been tailored and designed for candidates who have experience but need to update their qualification in the use and safe operation of a Forklift truck. Then candidate’s knowledge will be examined and tested to acceptable levels demonstrating good common practice, knowledge and technique skills.

Programme objectives

To understand and advise all candidates of the potential dangers of operating a forklift truck either diesel or electrical powered. To ensure as best as possible that all candidates are trained to safely to operate, drive and secure this type of forklift truck in so far as protecting their own safety and the safety of others in their workplace.

Assessment and certification

Upon successful completion of course each candidate will receive a certificate that is accredited by RTITB. The certificate awarded complies with all requirements under current Health and Safety Legislation. This certificate will remain valid for another 3 years but will expire after that time, it is highly recommended that candidates continue training every 3 years and do follow-up refresher courses as changes in legislation, common practices and techniques are like to been changed and updated.
