Course description

This training course has been tailored and designed for beginners to specifically train candidates in the use and safe operation of a Forklift truck, to afford candidates proper practice and the techniques of safe driving. Then candidate’s knowledge will be examined and tested to acceptable levels demonstrating good common practice, knowledge and technique skills.

Programme objectives

To understand and advise all candidates of the potential dangers of operating a forklift truck either diesel or electrical powered. To ensure as best as possible that all candidates are trained to safely to operate, drive and secure this type of forklift truck in so far as protecting their own safety and the safety of others in their workplace.

Assessment and certification

Upon successful completion of course each candidate will receive a certificate that is accredited by RTITB. The certificate awarded complies with all requirements under current Health and Safety Legislation. As this certificate is only valid for 3 years it is highly recommended that candidates do follow-up refresher courses at regular intervals to ensure their certification remains valid.
