Programme objectives
Candidates will be trained to develop the highest standard of C.P.R. as outlined by the Irish Heart Foundation and will be presented with various scenarios involving the use of the Automated External Defibrillator with particular emphasis on safety.

Training approach
The course involves lectures (utilising verbal, practical and PowerPoint presentations). There will be a written examination as well as practical assessments.
Assessment and certification
Assessment is based on the participation of attendees in practical demonstration and AED usage skills selected from the course content as well as a written question paper.
